As E noted, we’ve all has some crappy weeks at work lately. I think this takes the cake.

Yesterday, I ran into a woman who once sent me a bill after we broke up — with payment options — for the nonrefundable tickets and hotel reservations she purchased without asking me while we were dating. I was invited to pay for this alleged relationship crime via cash, check, or PAYPAL. Seriously — I still have the email.

This woman popped back into my world again after 5 years of delicious silence yesterday. I didn’t bump into her on the street or see her awkwardly on the Metro or at a party of mutual friends. She was interviewing for a job in my office. Which I’m sure she’ll get.

And her applicant number in our internal database? 666. I can’t make this shit up. So, if your work week wasn’t going so great, think of most bitter break-up you’ve had and then move that person into the cubicle next door…
