Batman: The Dark Knight [movies]
Yesterday, I wandered with a friend into The Uptown, an old-style theater with one screen, mainly to have a place to get out of the rain and to let our CA Tortilla lunch digest a bit. Without really knowing what was playing, we bought tickets and took up a place in the balcony where we could spread out our umbrellas.
The movie starts and it’s pretty exciting. When I left, I asked the 13 year old kid who sold the tickets what this movie was called, because I thought it might be worth mentioning to our readers. He said it was called “The Dark Knight,” which I think was a fitting title. When I looked it up, it seemed like a lot of the people who saw it thought it was pretty good, and I wondered how this movie had slipped by without much attention this summer.
In any case, if you would like to venture off the beaten path of mainstream blockbusters, I would cautiously recommend this Dark Knight flick, which was ok — certainly worth getting out of the rain for.
